New Mexico screams spaghetti western to me. I was mesmerised the first time I visited. It is bleak and desolate and never ending, but stunningly beautiful and you feel like you can see forever.
I have lots of photos of the red sand, shrubs, cliffs and gorges that are typical of the landscape, but when I came across this particular view it seemed to convey the scale of it all; the huge sky, the heat, the endless rocks, the distant horizon peaking through a gap in the cliffs.
Despite it’s bleakness, it is one of the most incredible places I have been.
It really does seem like you could see forever. The scale is amazing. What a view. I bet there are a few interesting critters down there. #AlphabetPhoto
