Reflections: Week 13

It’s April! Honestly, I can’t quite believe it. Crazy. Even crazier is the fact that we have snow again. What a way to welcome in April.

After such a busy week last week with the wee girl’s birthday (the cake was a huge success by the way, blog post to follow!) we’ve taken it a little easier this week. A little! It’s been nice to take things more slowly and just enjoy the days.

Despite the snow of the last two days, the rest of the week was fairly mild and dry(ish). I managed to do a load of walking, which was great, and we walked home from school a few days too.

The sun even shone on Thursday, a welcome relief from the damp, grey days we had earlier in the week.

My photos this week are a little boring to be honest. Uneventful week, uneventful photos! But, I did love this one of my seven (soon to be eight) year old. A touch of sun on Thursday meant that popsicles were a must when we got home. Of course.

This is what happens when you eat a bright red one!

This week is going to be a bit busier. Husband is away, and we have another birthday to celebrate with this cheeky chap turning eight. Another cake design is underway, and another party is being organised!

Wish me luck.

Hope you’ve all had a lovely week. Head over to my Instagram feed to see the rest of this week’s 365 photos…

  1. A belated happy birthday! Funny that you’ve had snow again – last weekend, with the clocks going forward and the temperature taking a noticeable upturn, it’s been time to break out the barbecues!

The snow was replaced by torrential rain… I’m sure spring will arrive eventually!

  3. Ah yeah, you can pretty much tell what year a child is in at school by which teeth are missing! Great shot and someone seems very proud their new teeth are coming through. I hope the week isn’t too crazy for you. #MySundayPhoto.

His seem to be taking forever to grow in, but the dentist isn’t concerned, so I’m sure they’ll appear eventually!

  4. Another week, another cake, huh?!
What a lovely photo of your boy, the first popsicals of the season always taste great! We had ours last week and the following day it rained (again!)
Glad the weather is taking a turn for the better and I hope this week you survive – without hubby – another birthday!

Well, that one nice day was followed by snow and rain…!! I’m hoping spring will decide to arrive soon :)

  5. I hope the week has so far been calm for you! Snow in April? Wow! my colleagues in Rochester were really caught out a few weeks back – that was quite some storm #MySundayPhoto

Yeah, Storm Stella was interesting! Thankfully this snow was very short lived, and is hopefully the last of the season :)
