Welcome to Week 155 of The Prompt. I hope you’ve all had a fabulous summer!
I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who linked up back in July for Week 154. I really loved reading all your posts.
The idea of The Prompt is to focus on the writing. It is an opportunity to flex our writing muscles a little. Perhaps try something a little different, leave our comfort zone.
To take a ‘prompt’ and write something: a few lines, a few paragraphs, an essay, an anecdote, a story, a poem, a comic strip; anything! For me it’s all about communicating and enjoying the power, inspiration, humour and wonder of words.
These writing prompts may take the form of a word, a phrase, a topic, a headline, a quote, an emotion or a scenario…
The Prompt for this week is:
I hope that you are inspired and that you will come back to link up your post! New posts inspired by The Prompt, or an old one that could have been, are equally welcome.
The Prompt has now moved to fortnightly. The Prompt 156 linky will go live in two weeks time, at 10pm EST on 14th September, giving us all more time for inspiration to strike!
The lovely and talented Vicky, from Verily Victoria Vocalises, and I have come up with a plan to give us both a little more time in our weeks, and to give all you wonderful linkers more time too. We will now run our writing linkys (Prose for Thought and The Prompt) fortnightly on alternate weeks.
So, please head on over to Vicky for Prose for Thought this coming Thursday, and I will see you there! And, I’ll be back here in a fortnight welcoming you all to The Prompt.
You can learn more about The Prompt here.
Every second Sunday I will publish The Prompt for that fortnight. The linky will then open on the Friday morning two weeks later, and will stay open for two weeks, allowing plenty of time to be inspired and to link up!
