Reflections: Week 43

It’s been another blur of a week here! Even the kids have started asking when we might have a break. Soon, I say. Hoping very much that it’s true.

It has been a little crazy recently. All good, but perhaps a few too many back-to-back activities! Thankfully, fall sports will soon be over and we can knock a couple of things off the weekend to-do list, which will make a difference. Hopefully!

We’ve had another great weekend though.

Yesterday we ran in our local YMCA’s annual Spooky Sprint, a family friendly 5k race.

All five of us ran (well, the wee girl alternated between running and sitting in the stroller saying hi to people!). Seeing us all in our race jerseys, with our numbers, was a really special moment. I’m so proud of the boys for both running great races, and thrilled that the wee girl was so excited to be joining us.

Good times.

The race was followed by soccer and play dates, and today has been all about swim classes, more soccer and a birthday party!

No wonder the kids are asking for a rest.

We’re now well into the Halloween crazy too, of course. One event done, several more to come. Wish me luck as I try to make it to all the parties, parades and trick or treating…

Hope you’ve all had a lovely week. Head over to my Instagram feed to see the rest of this week’s 365 photos…

  1. do they kids want a break from all their activities or do they mean a break as in a holiday where i’m sure they’ll be just as occupied? lol
