We acquired an old play structure with our house. It sat just outside the back door. The kids loved the swings but the wooden structure was rotten and unsafe. So, last week my husband pulled it down. It hung on for awhile, resisting his efforts, reluctant to be toppled. But toppled it was and now not a trace remains; other than the (horror movie) bells that hung from it, and now hang in a nearby tree. It somehow seemed appropriate that they stay. The kids are excited about the new play set, which arrives next week :)
I’m joining in with Charly’s Black and White Photography Project over on PODCast.
Each year, a few weeks after the kids are back at school, my sons’ school holds a family cookout. An opportunity for families to catch up after the summer, for new families to make friends and for the kids to eat hotdogs and run around with their friends!
Shine. Bright and new; special and sparkly. Such a happy word; so much possibility.
