The Prompt: Week 7

Welcome to Week 7 of The Prompt!

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who linked up for Week 6. I was absolutely thrilled to see so many people join in again.

I really enjoyed reading the posts. Some fantastic discussion on gender stereotypes and societal norms, brilliant reads! I hope you all found the time to read them too.

The idea of The Prompt is to focus on the writing (not that images are banned, but they should not be central!). It is an opportunity to flex our writing muscles a little. Perhaps try something a little different, leave our comfort zone.

To take a ‘prompt’ and write something: a few lines, a few paragraphs, an essay, an anecdote, a story, a poem, a comic strip; anything! For me it’s all about communicating and enjoying the power, inspiration, humour and wonder of words.

The prompt may take the form of a word, a topic, a headline, a quote, an emotion or a scenario…

The Prompt for this week is a quote and it is:

Seek the wisdom of the ages but look at the world through the eyes of a child.Ron Wild

I hope that you are inspired and that you will come back on Friday to link up your post!

You can learn more about The Prompt here.

Each Sunday I will publish The Prompt for that week. The linky will then open the following Friday morning and will stay open until the Thursday after, allowing plenty of time to be inspired and link up!
