The Prompt: Week 9

Welcome to Week 9 of The Prompt!

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who linked up for Week 8. I was absolutely thrilled to see so many people join in again.

As always, I really enjoyed reading every post, and this week was a truly wonderful collection. This week we reflected on ourselves, our lives and our children. The posts were by turns moving, inspirational and uplifting. I really hope that you managed to read them all.

The idea of The Prompt is to focus on the writing (not that images are banned, but they should not be central!). It is an opportunity to flex our writing muscles a little. Perhaps try something a little different, leave our comfort zone.

To take a ‘prompt’ and write something: a few lines, a few paragraphs, an essay, an anecdote, a story, a poem, a comic strip; anything! For me it’s all about communicating and enjoying the power, inspiration, humour and wonder of words.

The prompt may take the form of a word, a topic, a headline, a quote, an emotion or a scenario…

The Prompt for this week is a quote and it is:

Spring is the time of plans and projects. Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina

I hope that you are inspired and that you will come back on Friday to link up your post!

You can learn more about The Prompt here.

Each Sunday I will publish The Prompt for that week. The linky will then open the following Friday morning and will stay open until the Thursday after, allowing plenty of time to be inspired and link up!
