One Week: Winter 2014: Grey Scale

Grey.

A world faded to grey. Bled of colour. A seemingly endless expanse of white punctuated by shades of grey. Accented by harsh blacks.

With skies grey and heavy with snow; skeletal tree branches stand starkly; the ground is covered in a blanket of white. Even sounds are hushed and muted, grey in feeling and tone.

Winter: desolate, beautiful, freezing. Stunning to all senses.

  1. Fabulous post…. and fabulous pictures…. it’s actually really lovely to see a bit of snow – love the photograph of the footprints; that’s what I have missed, crunchy footprints in the snow :o). Thank you for linking up again. X

    1. It’s been a lovely winter in a lot of ways, and it has certainly been beautiful – and very very cold!
