Word of the Week: Quiet

After a really, really busy few weeks with sickness, birthdays, parties and lots and lots of cakes, this week has seemed really quiet!

It hasn’t been unusually quiet to be honest, I suspect it’s simply all relative! And, to be fair it started very loudly with a house full of four and five year olds for the 5yo’s school class birthday party on Sunday. But, since then, quiet…

I haven’t had to organise anything. I haven’t had to bake anything. I haven’t had to do any shopping!

It’s just been quietly, peacefully, normal.

We’re now on holiday for the next week, and I am really looking forward to the break. With our big trip back to the UK during the February vacation, we’ve had no down time since before Christmas. I think we all need some time off from rushing around and I for one intend to have a rest.

How has your week been?

    1. He he! Obviously, there is still the odd bout of screaming (mainly by me…) but other than that, it really has been quiet :)

Aww sounds lovely and peaceful, must be nice to get a break after having so much going on! Hope you enjoy the rest! xx #wotw

  2. Those patches of quiet after a storm {so to speak!} are magical aren’t they! I sit here typing this and everyone else is asleep, bar me. The peace I am experiencing is just….heavenly! lol! Not last for much longer. The toddler will be awake soon! lol! #WotW

What a great word! After the past few weeks celebrating birthdays and baking, it must be nice to just relax and enjoy a bit of quiet time. Mel #WotW
