Ten years of wonderful days; discovery and learning.
Of falling out, making up, moving on.
Of the never to be forgotten,
and never to be repeated.
Ten years of excitement; new places and new ideas.
Of experiences, memories, inspiration.
Of shared jokes and insider moments,
Ten years of big decisions; growth and change.
Of discussions, arguments, agreements.
Of making plans and changing minds,
and taking the plunge.
Ten years of making our family; one, then two, then three.
Of sleepless nights, long days, exhaustion.
Of managing, getting through, winning.
Of joy and wonder,
Ten Years; together.
My husband and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary last week. What a ten years it has been. We joke that we haven’t done much, really. Just had three children, moved house four times, moved continents. Not much at all, really. We bicker, we laugh, we occasionally cry. I’m a control freak, he’s as laid back as they come. I’m glass half empty, he’s glass half full. I do subtle, he does sledge hammer. I see an infinite rainbow, he sees the snooker colours. It works and it’s fabulous. So, Happy Anniversary to my wonderful, infuriating, long suffering, amazing husband.
