Siblings: October 2016

Here we are, half way through October, enjoying the wonderful fall weather and all the usual chaos. It really is true, life gets faster and faster each year. And the three just keep growing!

As I say every month: it’s been a busy one. The three are settled back into school, enjoying all the activities and play dates that go hand in hand with that. I’m getting used to being a taxi again.

Everyone is muddling along quite nicely, although tempers do fray towards the end of the week.

The 10yo swims four times a week. The 7yo manages to arrange last minute play dates most day, and plays soccer. The wee girl gets dragged along for the ride, holding out for Fridays when she get has the day off from preschool and goes to her dance class.

It’s no wonder that by Friday evening we’re done! If only the weekends were any quieter :)

On the whole the three have been in good form, and manage to keep themselves entertained without too much trouble. At last, I can drink my tea hot again.

And, they still allow me that one ‘all-smiling’ photo a month!

Isn’t the 10yo getting tall?!

Of course, then this happens.

Siblings: Children of the same parents, each of who is perfectly normal until they get together.

They are too funny.

I had to laugh as they orchestrated various funny poses, ostensibly for me, but really because they think it’s hilarious. Of course, moving far too fast for me to actually get a photo of their antics!

They may bicker and annoy each other, but they have so much fun together. They bring out the best in each other, and watching the genuine enjoyment when they’re messing around like this is one of my favourite things.

My three. Wonderful alone, wonderful together.

  1. What a lovely roundup of October
Swimming four times a week is goals some, your 10 year old must be a very good swimmer.
Yes, the return to term time activities does sometimes feel like there are endless car journeys and logistics to consider, but it’s worth it!
    Have a lovely evening

  2. I love that quote and those photos of your children pulling faces together are just the best. The smiling one is gorgeous too but I do love the fun personalities that come across in the other photos. Sounds like your days are very busy with all the different activities! :-)
