I have written many posts about Breakheart Reservation, and it remains one of our favourite places to go, at any time of year.
I have wanted to visit the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum for ages, about two years in fact! We finally made it there this week, and it was definitely worth the trip.
The beginning of the week was very hot and humid. In all honesty it was making everyone pretty grumpy.
It is with great relief that I can say it’s summer vacation at last!
Since the 6yo started school our one-on-one time has dropped to almost zero. What with school, activities, life; he rarely gets to go out with me on his own. I miss our Fridays (his day off from preschool); we always did something, just for him (even if the wee girl tagged along!).
Our trip to the UK in April was blessed with wonderful weather. This made for a rather different experience than the previous two years when we traveled in February!
Monday was Memorial Day, so a day off for the boys and my husband. A warm day, but with grey skies, it lent itself perfectly to a day out exploring.
Now that the weather is better (yay!) the wee girl and I spend close to an hour at the park each morning after dropping the boys to school.
We haven’t been to Edinburgh Castle for years, so with the weather being very kind to us last week we took a stroll up the High Street one morning and headed to the Castle.
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of my favourite places.
