Happy New Year, Sara! Despite our best intentions, we failed to get all three of our kids to sleep on New Year’s Eve. Of course, it was little Kara who outlasted her brothers and powered on through, leading a game of Twister past midnight …
Crikey, impressive if they all stayed up. N was in bed at normal time, my brother wondered over to ours (his gas was about to run out so he wanted to warm up in front of our fire) but left around 10 which is when the OH went to bed. We’re pretty rubbish here at seeing in the new year.
It would have been more impressive if I’d managed to stay up :) We celebrated ‘new year’ at 7pm when it was midnight in the UK with Hogmanay Live on iPlayer (they streamed internationally which was rather nice!). Kids were in bed by 8pm and I followed about an hour later ;) Happy New Year Emma!
This is a lovely shot and did they all stay up until Midnight or was this an hour or two earlier?
For the first time we were all at a new years eve party and both Mademoiselle & Little Mister stayed up, watched the London fireworks and danced with us at midnight
They were both fast asleep within 20 minutes after that!
This was UK New Year, so 7pm with us. Perfect way to celebrate with the kids and then get to bed! Can’t remember the last time I made it to midnight :) Happy New Year to you too Tracey xx
I’ve just seen in the comments how you celebrated New Years Eve – what a brilliant way to do it! And what a superb photo to go along with it :) Happy New Year to you all xx #mysundayphoto
What a lovely photo of your trio and a great idea to celebrate New Year at UK time to save having to stay up late! We only just managed to last until midnight – as soon as the fireworks were finished, we were off to bed. Maybe we should have chosen a different time zone too! :-)
