My week that was [10]

A much quieter week this week due to a combination of sick kids and rotten weather!

Monday
Welcome to the House of Poo… As my wee girl has been ill over the weekend we had to miss swimming this morning, which was a shame. Although she had perked up a bit, her nappies really hadn’t, so there was no chance I was risking taking her anywhere! I did however manage to have a really productive day in the house. Caught up on loads of housework, so actually felt quite positive by the end of the day.

Tuesday
Another quiet day. Boys at school, wee girl still producing the most stunningly awful nappies… But, another productive day in the house :)

Wednesday
Today was an ‘early release’ day, so half days for the boys. Got them to school, got home, 10 minutes later got a call from preschool to say that the 3yo was sick (dodgy tummy again…) so I had to go and collect him. More poo… I had already cancelled wee girls music class because of school half day, but turns out I wouldn’t have made it anyway! I did make it into town briefly to get to the post office and pick up bread and milk, but that was the extent of my adventures today :)

Thursday
Today in the House of Poo (said in my best Big Brother voice)… Well, another quiet day! Kept the 3yo home again, just as well as it turned out. Wee girl definitely on the road to recovery though! The forecast snow started in the afternoon…

Friday
Woke to a winter wonderland! School was cancelled. Hubby had to dig out the car so that he could go to work. He also kindly dug out our neighbours car.

The snow continued and by 11am you wouldn’t know that hubby had done any digging!

To add insult to injury, by the time he got home at about 1pm, the snow ploughs had been and there was a four foot high pile of snow in front of the drive, so he had to dig himself back in again…!

Saturday
I had managed to rearrange wee girls music class for a class on Saturday instead, so we went to that while hubby took the boys swimming (although 3yo had to just watch again this week, his tummy still not quite right). Headed home for lunch, and then as it was such a lovely afternoon (despite the snow!) we headed out for a lovely walk – although it was cut rather short when the 3yo fell into an icy pond…!

Sunday
Clocks went forward overnight here in the States, so a ‘late’ start this morning – and wee girl slept through without a dream feed! First time:) It’s also not Mothers Day here until May, so it was a little odd… Hubby and boys bought me some flowers anyway which was very sweet. Party for 6yo this afternoon and hubby took 3yo to Chuck E. Cheese’s as a treat (awful place, think soft play on steroids, but the boys love it!). Looking forward to a family meal tonight – and a poo free week next week :)
