This has become a familiar sight for us. In the last two weeks more than 4 feet of snow has fallen. With another foot forecast to fall over the next few days, it is one we will continue to see!
There is something hypnotic about watching snow falling. The quiet that descends is as eerie as it is magical. Everything is hushed and out of focus.
For all the irritation and inconvenience, it is really rather beautiful.

I have to agree: the quiet that snowfalls bring is quite mesmerizing. I’m hoping you’re staying warm and safe. I watch the footage on the news about your area and I feel a tinge of jealousy and a lot of worry. Hopefully, you’ll get a break from all the snow soon.
Thank you Maria, we are okay, just had enough now :)
Oh that photo draws you in to the cold….and the peacefulness. You know I love your snow pics and they are perfect in B&W :)
Thank you Viv, I love snow in B&W :)
Completely agree, there is something so magical about the sound of snow falling! As long as the snow doesn’t stop you from getting out and about it’s fine, but if it’s like over here a sprinkle and the roads come to a standstill ;) #bwphotoproject
Thankfully they have better infrastructure here, but it still closes things down for a day or so at a time while they clear it all. But we have had six feet of it now…!
wow .. what a stunning stunning capture .. stay safe and hope you are all warm and snug!
Thank you Jaime xx
Wow – it does look beautiful. I think we’re still a bit jealous over here for all the snow but I bet it’s different as your experiencing it first hand. Beautiful photo :) #bwphotoproject
It is beautiful, but the day to day reality is hard to explain!
Grace & Lucas say – WOW!!! Apart from the trees, that looks like the most awesome hill to sledge down and we’re very jealous still of all that snow!!! #bwphotoproject
We have actually put in a sledge run to the side of this picture…!
Snow definitely brings a hush with it – not sure if that’s because we all breathe in to admire it’s beauty but you’ve definitely captured that beauty here. Hope you’re all coping with it and cabin fever isn’t setting in (too much) #bwphotoproject
Thank you, and the cabin fever is still at (almost) manageable levels!
I’m sure you wouldn’t agree with my first thought – amazing. I hope the weather breaks for you guys soon x
