After I completed my second round of the Alphabet Photo Project (with Charly over at PODcast) I thought, that’s it; not doing that again!
It’s great fun, but some weeks? Well, there are certain letters of the alphabet that are a little tricky :)
But, now? I’m actually starting to miss it.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to get creative each week, or to have a really good trawl through old photos. To find those forgotten captured moments.
I feel quite proud that I managed to complete the project. Twice.
And, with only one duplication of a word, for the letter K. But, I just couldn’t resist using either photo!
So, while I try to decide whether I can really do it all over again (!), I have been enjoying looking back at the images that I took/chose over the 52 weeks of the previous projects.
Because, they do include some of my very favourite captured moments.
Of places, people, events and objects. Of funny, special, amazing and ordinary moments.
To kick off my little retrospective, here are images A to M from Project 1…
Some weeks were certainly more inspired than others, but each photo makes me smile. From my oldest with his ant house, to my younger son learning to balance on a slack wire, to my daughter colouring herself in…
I love my little diva in her mini mouse sunglasses (which were subsequently lost), and this photo of my younger son’s bright blue eyes is an all time favourite. His final day at preschool was a milestone moment and buying our new home gave me a run of new photos with garden, house and juicy (when we discovered we had grape vines!). Imagination slotted in there, as I just love how creative the boys get with Lego.
Kiss brings back wonderful memories of a trip to London, and no summer is complete without a lick of ice cream, this photo coming from one of our fabulous trips to Storyland in New Hampshire.
And, motherhood is captured in the very first photo of me and the three.
I take so many photos, but so few of them ever leave my computer. This blog, and projects like Alphabet Photo and My Captured Moment, allow me to ‘frame’ my favourites in a way that simply wouldn’t happen otherwise.
I remain very grateful for that.
This is such an awesome way to capture what your days/weeks/life is like as a mom! It may not feel like it while you’re doing it, but when you put the whole alphabet together in a collage like that, you get such a feel for your life!
It’s been great fun to do, if a little challenging at times :) It is lovely to look at all the photos together x
