I discovered a new Halloween ‘thing’ this week!
I found a box of cupcakes on my back steps, with a note to say that we’d been Boo-ed!
I can hear the collective huh?!
Kind of like a chain letter for baked goods, once you’ve been Boo-ed you must return the favour and Boo two of your neighbours, who have not yet been Boo-ed… (We were given a sign to put in our window to avoid being Boo-ed again!).
So, I found myself making cupcakes at 8 o’clock on Tuesday night, decorating them yesterday, wrapping them and sending the boys out with Daddy to deliver them to two of our neighbours :)
In a ring the doorbell and run away, mysterious, phantom cupcake giver kind of a way!
[I did put a note with them though – would you let your kids eat randomly left cupcakes?!]
But, no one can say that I haven’t entered into the spirit of things :)

And they look beautiful. What a lovely surprise that must have been!
It was! Such a nice idea :)
Awww what an awesome idea! I’m so going to start that in my road next year :D
It’s lovely isn’t it? Walking down our street you can see all the ‘we’ve been boo-ed’ signs :)
Oh wow, I just LOVE that idea, what a fab way to get into the Halloween spirit and get to know your neighbours, fan-bloody-tastic!
It’s great, huh? What was really nice was to see how many people had been boo-ed!
We just moved into a new neighborhood and the doorbell rang, introducing us to this fun tradition!
I write about adventures with the kids and all things travel http://www.theeducationaltourist.com and would love for you to stop by.
Thanks for sharing!
