A slightly less busy week this week!
Monday
The last full day of our holiday, so a good chunk of it was spent packing! Two of my husbands brothers had taken the day off work so that we could spend another day together. We went to the Dundrum shopping centre, which despite the many times we’ve been in Dublin recently we’ve never been to before! We had a bite to eat and then all the boys went to play crazy golf while I did some last minute shopping (food for wee girl for the journey etc.). The boys had a great time – although I don’t think the 3yo quite got the scoring… We had dinner with hubby’s youngest brother and then headed back to the hotel for an early night.
Tuesday
A day spent travelling! We left the hotel after breakfast and went straight to the airport. As we were travelling from Dublin, we went through Immigration in Dublin Airport – how fantastic was that? When we arrived in Boston, we came into the domestic arrivals and walked straight to baggage and out! No queuing :) The flight back was okay… The boys were great, but the girl was very screechy! I went to bed at 7.30!
Wednesday
A quiet day, boys went back to school, wee girl and I went to music class and did a bit of shopping. Everyone was tired, so early nights all round. Which was lucky as at 2.30am the 3yo woke up and threw up… This continued for the rest of the night, poor wee guy – at one point he said ‘Mummy, I don’t feel so good’, what an understatement. My husband dealt with the throwing up, mainly to try and minimise the risk of me catching whatever it was – he can take a day of work if he really has to. I can’t really take a day off from the kids…! Wee girl woke at 4.30, so none of us got much sleep.
Thursday
After a horrible night, we obviously kept the 3yo home from school. Sadly, the wee girl also seemed to be coming down with the same thing. After three kids I didn’t expect to be surprised by nappies… But I have to say I have never seen anything like the wee girls first nappy of the day! Suffice to say that the nappy had not coped well. Was very glad hubby had got there first… A very quiet day, I asked another mom to take the 6yo to school and she also brought him home, so the rest of us stayed home and took it easy. The wee girl actually slept on me for most of the afternoon, unheard of. Lovely snuggles, but just hate her being sick :(
Friday
The 3yo was definitely on the mend, but wee girl was still out of sorts. So, another quiet day for us. Early night for the boys, with a movie in bed for them. Friday pizza for hubby and I :)
Saturday
The 6yo went to swimming, the 3yo still wasn’t well enough for that. Then the 6yo went to a friends birthday party in the afternoon and after dropping him off, hubby headed to Home Depot to get some wood so that he could install the stair gates – our kamikaze 11mo can’t be allowed near the stairs anymore, gravity is a concept that escapes her just at the moment :) After another day at home with sick children, once hubby and 6yo returned I headed out to do some food shopping and have a cup of tea, alone!
Sunday
I did my usual Sunday morning trip to Trader Joes and then went for a tea with my book and twitter. It’s my child free moment in the week, and I love it! The rest of the day was spent corralling children while hubby installed the stair gates. School night, so early bed for boys. Hubby and I then watched a movie (guilty pleasure, Twilight Breaking Dawn 2…!). Well, I watched it… Hubby mainly surfed t’internet and made scathing comments!

My goodness another busy week! I love how you seem to have a lot going on all the time, you must be so tired though, where do you get all your energy from?
I’m so envious of your time to yourself on a Sunday.
I hope your girl is better now.
Thank you for linking up xx
I’m honestly not sure, most of the time I am completely knackered! I love my Sunday mornings – they allow me to recharge a little, get my head sorted for the next week of madness. Thanks for reading xx
