The Gallery – Sun

The theme from Tara for The Gallery this week is sun.

The weather so far this summer has been fabulous, bar the odd spectacular thunderstorm.

I have so many sunny photographs from our adventures – as a Scot, I still feel the need to make the most of every bit of sunshine ‘just in case it rains tomorrow‘ – I couldn’t pick just one, but I’ve chosen three that, for me, encapsulate our most special times in the sun so far this year.

  1. A Scottish mum in Boston?? How jealous am I! We visited Boston the year before last and fell in love. Harvard is my spiritual home – such a wonderful place.

    1. It’s a lovely city isn’t it? I’d visited several times over the years before we moved out here, and I love it. We live about 20 mins out of the city – best of both worlds :)

  2. Lovely photos. I know what you mean about feeling the need to make the most of the sun. I get stressed if I’m missing the rays because they can be so few and far between!

  3. Gorgeous photos Sara – I’m not sure I could pick between those. I too have a silly number of sunny photos, mainly taken over the last few days! It must be great having such good weather over there and it being so much more reliable :)

  4. oooh i love that first photo of the trees with the shadows cast on the woodland floor. water is good for keeping cool in the hear and I LOVE eating outside in the sunshine – i think all kids too too. lovely photos x

  5. Oh the sunlight on the ripples of the warm water are magnificent. Hope you’re enjoying the Summer across the pond?

    Nipping over from The Gallery.

    1. Thank you! We’re having a lovely time, making the most of sun, and enjoying the spectacular thunderstorms :) Could do with a bit less humidity, but I’m not complaining – spending so much time outside (warm!) is just fab!

    1. There are some beautiful woods near us – and some lovely running trails. I’ve stuck to walking the trails so far, but I’m very tempted! Especially where the trails take in a lake too :)
