It’s universal isn’t it, children always prefer what you’re having to their own! They love to share; your food, your juice, your treats… woe betide you if you try and eat chocolate in their presence!
I know that it won’t be long before the 4yo is old enough to want demand his own fizzy drinks; sharing mummy’s won’t have the same appeal. And, he was actually very sweet on this occasion, he even said please; looking at me with those big blue eyes. How could I resist?

Adorable. This is so cute. What a great moment to capture.
Thank you Jenny x
Gorgeous photo and so true! My one year old much prefers my food to his (which I have usually spent much more time on) and today hoovered up some victoria sponge complete with cream when I wasn’t fully paying attention…..
Oh yes, I’ve been there! My little girl toddled off and found herself some ‘cake cake’ today when I wasn’t looking :)
Too cute #BlogClub
Thank you x
Awww what a gorgeous photo of you both! I love the way he is looking at you. And yes they definitely always want what you have got, it’s the universal rule. ;)
Thank you x It is the rule, isn’t it :)
What a lovely photo, his eyes say it all x
Thank you x
i reckon he is trying to distract you with his gaze whilst he nips a bit more than you bargained for of your drink!
I think you’re probably right :)
I have come to the conclusion that they think ours must taste better even if we’re having the same thing, but I’m happy to share while they’re still so young #blogclub
Absolutely, mummy’s must taste better! I don’t really mind, it’s quite sweet really :)
What a lovely photo and moment! I saw a great cartoon somewhere last week of a child having the same food as his mummy, only treble the size, and still wanting the food off his mummy’s plate. The grass (food/ drink) is always greener on mummy’s plate, or in mummy’s glass.
It really is, isn’t it! It can be identical, but still taste different from mummy’s plate :)
Such a cute photo of you both. I had Toby trying to eat my sandwich today – even though he’d just finished his own lunch.
Thank you! Our food always tastes better :)
Lovely moment to capture. Baby want’s whatever I have to eat or drink already x
Thank you x
Oh that’s so true – my Elma will hoover up anything and everything!
It really is, isn’t it?!
its true they want everything I have, nothing is ever my own. But it’s good to share!
This is true :)
This situation looks very familiar! What a lovely photo and it’s always good to teach your children to share by leading by example (unless cake is involved obviously!)
Absolutely, unless it’s cake or chocolate :)
Thats a real precious moment, lovely photo. And yes my daughter always wants what we are having
Thank you x
Gorgeous post, beautifully simple and an exquisite moment captured forever xx
Thank you lovely x
