Regular readers will know that I spent last weekend in New York. One of the places on my must-see list was The Guggenheim Museum, a stunning gallery designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. While the current exhibition, Italian Futurists, was not exactly to my taste, the building itself did not disappoint. A sculptural art work in itself, its spiral of sloping gallery space is one of a kind and truly spectacular. It is impossible to do it justice; and my photos didn’t, but I rather like how this one gives some sense of the geometry of the spiral, with the black and white highlighting the balconies.
