025: Melt: a slight thaw before the big storm arrived.
026: Painting: a common activity for the wee girl :)
027: Escape: digging us out after Juno dumped two feet of snow on us…
028: Wading: playing in the snow when the blizzard finally stopped.
029: Fizz: celebrating the 52nd week of my linky, The Prompt.
030: Parking: this is what it’s like parking after a blizzard…
031: Challenge: I walked to the hairdressers this morning, which at some points was challenging; some pavements are cleared better than others (at least there was a gap here…)! I was also interested to follow my own footsteps back two hours later, it appears that I was the only one mad enough to walk the last couple of blocks to my house this morning…

  1. I am sooo envious of your deep snow. We’d love to have it, at least for a day, my little man dreams of playing in the snow. Love the icicle and your son playing in the snow.

  2. The snow is amazing!!! Love how the massive dumpings in the states don’t stop life like a sprinkle over here does – when I au paired I remember opening the back door to a drift almost as tall as me and my employers still went off to Boston to work for the day! Love the ice melting pic. :)

It is amazing, the infrastructure is there to cope, although it may take a few days when we’ve had such heavy snow, things are still clear and moving to a certain degree within 24h!

  3. wow thats what you call proper snow, more than enough to build a decent snow man with, but I think I would be put off by wondering how long it would take to defrost off, it can take an inch a week here if it does not rise above freezing.
Love the contrast of the picture with the paints in to the rest of the snowy pictures.

Definitely proper snow! I hate to think how long it’s going to take to thaw. We have 4ft of it, drifting to 6/7ft deep in some places…!

  4. wow, that is some deep snow you have had. Hope it hasn’t caused too much hassle for you and you have had a great week despite it.

It has made things interesting… but they know how to deal with it here. We have now had four snow days though!

  5. Amazing pictures! Wow, that’s a seriously snow dumping. I bet the kids loved it….more than you enjoyed clearing those steps anyhow! Love the icicle :) x

Thank you Kim. It has had it’s moments, the biggest hassle has been the snow days, the kids have been climbing the walls :)

Yeah, I think I’ve had enough now… current count is 50 inches in the last week…! And, thank you :)
