B&W Photography Project: Shadows

150301 Shadows

Today the sky was the deepest blue and the sun shone brightly. The glare from the snow made sunglasses essential!

Looking out across the garden, the snow was a perfect canvas for shadows from the trees, creating all sorts of interesting shapes and contrasts, and I love that in this photo the sky looks stormy even though it was an incredible blue.

I love black and white snow photos which regular readers, or followers of my Instagram, may have noticed! It can sometimes feel as if snow has bleached the landscape, but if you look closely you can see such textures and highlights.

The lovely Kriss at Wild About Here, who takes the most amazing photographs, tagged me in the #5daybwchallenge and I’m already two days late joining in… But, this seemed like a good one to start with! Today, I will nominate the lovely Charly right here on Podcast :) I will post the rest of my daily photos on Instagram
