I’ve made no secret of the fact that I dislike winter. While the layer of snow may be beautiful, the layer of complication that accompanies it? Not so much.
After the blizzards and nine feet of snow we were subjected to this year, the first blossom of spring was even more welcome than usual.
The mark of winter’s end. A signal that summer is on its way.
Sunshine and warmth; vacation and time off. A change in pace.
Lazy, hazy days to come. Beach trips and picnics; swimming and barbeques. Evenings on the porch.
Spring blossom: a sign of things to come. It’s such a hopeful sight, isn’t it?

Ha! There do seem to be two very distinct camps on this one :)
Great choice. I love the winter, but spring is always welcome. Is that a star magnolia? I managed to kill ours. :( #AlphabetPhoto
I believe it is a star magnolia, I didn’t know we had one until it blossomed :)
I think I may have shed a little tear when I first noticed there were buds on the plants at the end of this winter. Lovely blossoms!
It really was a bit like that this year, wasn’t it :)
It just gives you hope of better days ahead doesn’t it #alphabetphoto
It really does x
i do love spring, but having lived in South Africa for 4 years and now in Dubai we’ve not really had a spring that marks the end and beginning of new seasons
That is one thing that I love about New England, defined seasons! Even though spring seems to be very short :)
The Mother says – I absolutely love this picture. This would love beautiful as a canvas. That way, you would always have Spring with you. Hope to see you at BML? xx #alphabetphoto

You must be so relieved to see Spring, even more than we are, with all that snow though. I love Spring, you’re right it is the sign of good times ahead. I say that when yesterday consisted of glorious sunshine, rain and hail!
Ha! I am incredibly relieved, although quite looking forward to summer now :)
