Last week I looked back over the letters A to M from my first Alphabet Photo Project (hosted by Charly over at PODcast). Now it’s the turn of N to Z.
There is a real mix of photos in this set, including the one time I couldn’t come up with an image and created one…
Nemo was the first big snow storm that we experienced after moving to the US, in February 2013. Three feet of snow in 24hrs! It was unlike anything we’d ever experienced and I found that first winter very hard. This Do Not Enter sign summed up how I felt about it.
Is anyone else able to keep orchids alive? I have yet to succeed, but they are so beautiful when they flower. This peeling paint should soon be gone as the recladding of our house will start in a few weeks. Eeek! And, the large quantity of boxes that arrived in this container (last summer!) are still waiting to be unpacked…
The 6yo was thrilled when I drew a rainbow on his cheek, easily pleased! And, these storm clouds were an impressive sight. I have a bit of a thing about taking photos of trees. My uninspired image for the letter U could also have been for utensils!
My eldest son was very proud of his volcano, made for a school project and these water fountains at Storyland (a kids theme park in New Hampshire) remain a firm favourite with the wee girl.
Both my sons told everyone they were x-rays when they dressed up as skeletons for Halloween :) And, I really do have a thing about trees, I have hundreds of photos of them; the amazing yellows, reds, oranges and golds in autumn here in New England are just wonderful.
This last photo of my three at the zoo is such a wonderful example of their sibling bond. They may bicker and annoy each other, but the boys really look after their little sister.
It’s interesting to look back and see which photos I chose. From the beautiful images of flowers and trees, to ordinary images that tell a story, to those that simply make me smile.
All moments that have left an impression, in one way or another, and ones that I am glad I have a proper record of.

I had never seen that much snow either! We had even more this year :)
Love these A_Z posts and I was really interested to see what you’d have for X and Z!! Your pictures, as always are gorgeous. Thank you so much for linking up to #MyCapturedMoment xxx
That first photo of the snow is magical. And capturing the “do not enter” sign as a symbol of your mood at that time is a genius idea. And that picture of your little girl in the water is magical. Hugs Mrs H xxxx #MyCapturedMoment
