This past week has been school vacation for us, so we took a trip to New York with the kids and some friends. It was fabulous! We did the Empire State Building, which was amazing and the views were incredible. This one is looking to the south of Manhattan and you can see the Flat Iron Building, the Freedom Tower and there is a dot in the bay that is the Statue of Liberty!

Wow! Amazing clear day and stunning shot.

That is quite a view! I am determined to get to New York one day :) #MySundayPhoto
Ah, I have the identical photo from 2002 – minus the Freedom Tower obviously. It was eerie then, looking south to the financial district – somehow the empty space on the skyline where the Twin Towers had once stood felt like more than just an empty space. I do also love the view looking north, as Central Park stretches out in front of you almost as far as the eye can see.
Such an amazing skyline – hope you had a wonderful time in New York :-)
Magnificent Sara, thank you for sharing this amazing view. I’ve haven’t ticked this one off my list yet, but I hope to one day. Have a great weekend.
Oh, New York, New York, so good they named it twice! The view is amazing and you’ve captured it so clearly.
Ah your lovely trip away to New York, sounds like it lived up to your hopes. Fab photo
What a view! One day I would love to visit x
So very different to our quite little city. Love the perspective.
Wow! Sara, that is some view. It looks so busy, but tiny too, almost Lego like. How you managed to share only one photo I don’t know. I would have been sharing them all.
xx
Wow, the statue of Liberty really does look tiny doesn’t it? Love the fact you got the Flat Iron building in the shot too!
A simply stunning photo Sara, I hope you had a fabulous time x
What a fantastic shot brought back great memories of out NYC trip. What a beautiful day!
Not jealous AT ALL, nope not even a little bit….. nope not me…. o.k I admit it, I am SO jealous. New York is the top of my ‘Would love to visit’ list. Looks AMAZING xx
I feel the need for another NYC visit…but I guess I can dream on for a while. My kids want to go so much and I want to take them. I bet you had a blast. Photos from the Empire State building are such iconic ones, and this is no exception. Lucky you!
What an amazing view! It must be an incredible place to visit. My husband keeps saying we’re going to go there, but I’m not sure when! I’m a nervous flier and I’m sure the cost for five people would be prohibitive.
What a stunning shot Sara :-)
What an amazing view, it’s my I’m to visit New York in 2017. This really makes me want to visit sooner.
Thank you for linking up
How wonderful! I wish to take the kids there one day when they are a little older. :) #MySundayPhoto

Have a friend working out there at the minute, still on my list of places to visit! …… one day!
The Flat Iron is a favourite here, but it’s a great photo overall.
Glorious photo. I loved NY when I visited – there’s so much special to see, and I’d love to go back.
