I hope everyone has had a good week? We’ve had a relatively quiet one. Nothing out of the ordinary, just sports and play dates. No extras, which is unheard of! I didn’t quite know what to do with myself.
So, I tidied and sorted and recycled. A lot. In fact, I feel like I’m finally getting back on track with my mission to simplify our lives. Having done great things (read: thrown away a lot of cr*p) in the first part of last year, I didn’t do quite so well in the second half of the year.
Understatement.
I seem to be on a roll now though, so I’m making the most of it while it lasts. I pity the guy that picked up our recycling bins this week. There was a pile of paper as tall as me in there! Why oh why do schools send home so much paper?
Having had such a quiet week though, I haven’t taken many photos. I haven’t missed a day (yet), but it’s been a week of slightly random look-at-this-pretty-scarf type photos!
I do have a favourite though.
My 7yo is rarely still, and cannot resist making faces when he sees a camera. Every so often though, I just want a nice photo! And, I’m not quite sure why, but this week he obliged. No silly expression, no messing.
Just those eyes.

Hi Sara, there’s nothing like a good clear out to get us motivated and I’m sure Mr. Recycling Man will forgive you. I do love your sons colouring, my son was very similar when he was younger, now the red only shows in the sun.

That is such a beautiful shot Sara, just lovely. We get pretty much all school correspondence electronically now. But Monkey has joined a colouring club at lunch time and is more than adding to the paper mountain here each week! #365
