Well, what a busy couple of weeks we’ve had. My sister and her kids have been with us and we certainly managed to cram in a lot!
Trips to the beach and the lake, a visit to the Museum of Science, a walk around the center of Boston, a baseball game, canoeing, cycling, ice cream and lots of treats. It’s been full-on, but the kids have had a blast and loved spending time with their cousins.
Some of our best days were spent at the beach; swimming and boogie boarding, building sandcastles and forts and thrones, and digging many, many holes.

As a surprise, my mum arrived half way through my sister’s visit, which was wonderful and made for a very special week of catching up.
But, all good things come to an end and, as of Thursday evening, our house is now empty of visitors. So, to keep the kids from missing the company too much we headed to New Hampshire for the day yesterday and enjoyed a great family day at Storyland.

Tomorrow we’re off to a water park for the day, and then we have a somewhat quieter week ahead of us, before we spend a few days on Cape Cod to make the most of our last week or so of vacation.
Summer has gone FAR too fast, and I would really love that pause button now.
Hope you’ve all had a lovely couple of weeks. Head over to my Instagram feed to see the rest of this week’s 365 photos…

How lovely to have so much of the family there! What a lovely surprise to see your mum! I bet the cousins had a blast together.
Your eldest looks so grown up. Beach days are the best. Hope the start of school goes smoothly
Lovely to get the family together and glad you have all had a good time.
You can never dig to many holes.
I bet it was lovely to have everyone together, even if it was only for a short while. The holidays are dashing past way too quickly here too #365
