This is Harry Potter picking an apple from a tree before going back to his speedboat, which is parked next to the beach… I want to bottle my children’s imaginations; their creativity is magical. Just imagine what our children can do if we harness their ideas and enthusiasm; encourage them, nurture them, give them the confidence to believe that anything is possible.
Joining in with Charly’s Alphabet Photography Project over on PODCast.

Who knows where Harry Potter would have gone if JK Rowling had the imagination to put him in a speed boat!? Awesome :-D
Ha! Indeed :)
I picked imagination this week too, children are incredible aren’t they. I’m amazed everyday by something my boy thinks up. Loving your boys lego creation, brilliant #alphabetphoto
It just amazes me, so incredibly creative and not hindered in any way by convention or expectation x
Well I never knew apples and Harry were a big thing, but I do now! :)
Great imagination and inspiration there x
He he, I know, who knew?!
Hehe! That’s great I love that he’s picking an apple before going in a speedboat.
Brilliant, isn’t it :)
So well put! and you cant beat a bit of Lego for imaginative play!
Thank you x And Lego is the best :)
Absolutely. I couldn’t have said it better. Love open-ended toys that give children (and us) a chance to use our imagination to the full. (What happened to his hair? Forget the recent updated version with silver threads in his 30s. He’s gone bald!) #AlphabetPhoto
Oh, gosh, haven’t seen the grey haired Harry :) The wee girl seems to be quite partial to Lego man hair, most of them are bald!
That is creative! It would be wonderful, wouldn’t it, to capture their unique thoughts and ideas somehow? #alphabetphoto
It really would. Perhaps the best we can do is try to help them retain them…
Lego is such a nice toy. Endless possibilities! My son would usually create a world using it as well. Lovely world like the one you have here =) #alphabetphoto
It really is the best toy, all three of mine will spend hours playing with it x
imagination and kids is such a brilliant mix tbh when i was a lad lego was my thing too i made all sorts never sticking to instruction sheets lol #alphabetproject
I loved Lego too, best toy ever :)
The imagination of children is something so special…I love how they can turn the most simple object into something of fascination and excitement. I wonder when we lose that talent as adults? I’d quite like to get it back! #alphabetphoto
It really is isn’t it, I wish we could still be like that, I know very few adults who can x
Love it! There is nothing more wonderful than a child’s imagination. I often think about recording Monkey when he’s talking about an adventure – marvellous #alphabetphoto
Oh, I know, the stories are just amazing aren’t they :)
What wise and true words!! Imagination is everything and allows them to be children for long enough before they have to enter the real world!! Great post!! X
Thank you x What would be lovely was if they could take some of that imagination into the real world x
Brilliant! Don’t you just love childrens’ imagination! My son is always making weird and wonderful things.
It’s great isn’t it, so much fun :)
I’m looking forward to some Lego action soon! I’ve been holding back fearing the mess of little bits filling every nook of the house and the possibility of EJ eating it! But I remember building houses and cars and stuff and loving it as a child so I think the day is fast approaching! #alphabetphoto
Lego is the best! We all love Lego, and the wee girl is now pretty good with it – start with duplo?
Fabulous! I love listening to the stories my kids make up, especially with Lego! Sounds like yours have some amazing ideas for the next Harry Potter book?!
Ha, Harry Potter and the Speedboat of Awesomeness, could be a winner :)
Absolutely agree, their imagination is such a sweet gift and one that I feel we under value and do not nurture. I will from now on.
It’s so amazing to watch them, I hope they can hold on to that free creativity for as long as possible x
I nearly chose Lego and imagination! We love lego here too it is wonderful for imaginative play. The bit I don’t like is stepping on with no shoes on which I seem to do very often!
Legos is fantastic, but yes, if I could just get them to remember to pick up all the pieces :)
Fabulous, absolutely love this! You’re so right, imagine where our kids imaginations could lead with a bit of encouragement…
Absolutely x
So this is what Harry Potter does now that he’s not fighting Voldemort anymore? Wonder if this will be in JK Rowlings new book ;)
Wouldn’t that be cool :)
Just love this post Sara, I so wish our worlds were like this. Imagination is just the best and a great letter I. POD has an incredible imagination and although random at times I love it! Thank you for sharing and joining in #alphabetphoto
Thank you Charly x It is such a wonderful thing isn’t it? I just love to listen to their stories!
Fantastic! I moved our kids lego from their closet to a large drawer in the living room table and the things they come up with are phenomenal, truly. Kids imaginations are the best :) Mine were playing with Sylvanian Families the other day with visits from How to Train your Dragon dragons and R2D2 from Star Wars!
It’s just amazing isn’t it?! I love that R2D2 visited the sylvanian families :)
