When all is said and done
and the last notes have been sung,
we wonder if we’ve done enough,
and seen enough
and been enough;
fearful that we’ve failed.
When all is shifts and change
and the world spins without care,
we look around at who we love,
and what we love
and why we love;
afraid that we’re not whole.
When all is said and done
and the last notes have been sung,
we remember all that’s passed,
the beginning
and the end;
and hope we were enough.

Lovely poem, Sara – it really captures that feeling of dissatisfaction and worry over ‘am I enough?’ and ‘did I do enough?’ Thank you. xx
