This week has gone by in a flash, before I knew it, it was Friday! And it’s all a bit of a blur… I’m taking part in (Heart) my Art, which has added a lovely dimension to my week, and you can read about Week 1 here.
Monday
Had a lovely time at swimming with my little girl. There were only a few of us at the class, so it was really chatty and fun. Started planning the 6yo’s first big school project… 100 words for the 100th day of school! Picked his topic – Scotland – and started gathering words! I spent a lovely evening doing my first (Heart) my Art activity :)
Tuesday
Another blooming cold day, with more snow! And as the forecast was for it to warm up over the day, lots of people didn’t bother clearing their pavements… Arg! It was like walking through sand, with the added fun of a buggy/stroller, slipping back with every foot step – I’m sure it was an excellent workout :)
Wednesday
Music class with the wee girl – great fun – she is getting so in to it! Shaking her maracas and banging her drum :) Art Class for the 6yo after school, but hubby very kindly left work a bit early so that he could pick him up – what a difference not having to go back out again! Really odd weather day (starting to sound like I’m completely obsessed with the weather!) – it was really wet and warm in the morning – but by the afternoon it was dry, windy and freezing! Several seasons in one day :) But New England is apparently known for this!
Thursday
I spent a lovely hour in a craft shop (although as this is America, it was the size of a supermarket!). Ostensibly it was to get supplies for the 6yo’s project, but I had such fun and picked up some lovely bits and pieces for myself too – the (Heart) my Art project is giving me a fab arty/crafty outlet :)
Friday
I have to admit to a very lazy day! Kids were tired too, so I think we all needed some chill time. It was topped off with a fab movie, pizza and wine :)
Saturday
The boys had their swimming lessons in the morning. I managed to get the wee girl to take a nice long nap while they were gone, so I had a lovely hour reading. Then, I went to the hairdressers – yay! Roots begone! The rest of the afternoon was spent working on the 6yo’s 100 words project…
Sunday
We have been meaning to get a proper family portrait done for months. So far the only photo we have with the five of us also has some strange bloke with a beard in it… Obligatory Santa photo! So, we had an appointment this afternoon and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! Not only did we get a photo of all of us where we are all looking at the camera and smiling, we also managed to get lovely shots of the kids, on their own and a few beautiful ones of the three of them together. Fantastic end to the week. Oh, and it’s snowing again…!

It’s a great linky – especially when I haven’t had time to write much during the week. It really encourages me to remember what we’ve done. I also hope it will encourage me to do more with the kids so that their weeks are more varied! And yes, I have become completely obsessed with the weather :)
Argh a pushchair in the snow is such a challenge isn’t it?!
