The Ordinary Moments: me and the three

I don’t have many photos of me and the three. I’m generally behind the camera, not in front of it.

But, occasionally hubby catches a shot like this. And, I love it.

It was such a simple thing. The 4yo was snuggled up against me watching TV. That meant that the wee girl just had to climb on to my lap and try and push him out of the way. The 7yo, feeling left out, squeezed in beside me.

It lasted for a good few minutes, all snuggled up on the sofa, before one of them (the wee girl!) got bored and wriggled away.

But, for once I have a photo.

Of me with my gorgeous, funny girl; my affectionate, wonderful 4yo; and my big boy, looking so grown up and handsome (and almost the same size as me!).

It won’t be long before the 7yo won’t want to squeeze in, the 4yo won’t be so snugly and the wee girl will be too busy. So, I will treasure these little moments for as long as they continue.

  1. Love this picture. It’s so hard to get pictures with me and my two because I am the only one that ever takes them. This is just picture perfect. What a magic moment for sure. My son is always trying to run from the camera, daughter wants to eat my hair or look down at the ground, and mr p never wants to be in them or take them. lol sucks for a snap happy mommy like me. lol

  2. What a beautiful photo! I only have the 2 boys but find it impossible to get a good photo of us. My husband is hopeless at photos and always misses any rare opportunity!

  3. Lovely post and lovely photo. We have to treasure these moments while we can :) Only my own wee girl will cuddle up to me now, although both boys like me to look after them when they’re feeling cold at rugby!

Oh, this brought a little lump in my throat, I understand just what you mean in terms of these precious moments being so fleeting, so grab them while you can. What a gorgeous photo! x

Ps – hope you can take some time out for you at some point and perhaps pop by tomorrow to link a post up to #AllAboutYou!

What a gorgeous photo and a great post. Like you, I’m normally behind the camera so I don’t get many pics with Lucas. This is beautiful. Hope its framed and hung pride of place in your home #magicmoments #whatsthestory
