I have been craving a trip to the beach. I have felt the need of wide open spaces and big sky. Nothing above or around me; just fresh air and clarity.
The expanse of the beach at Nahant was calling and when the sun finally shone today, it was time for a head-clearing, refreshing, life affirming walk along the sand. With the ocean sparkling, kite buggies whizzing past and the boys putting their new remote control cars through their paces, it was perfect.
We even managed a photo of us all, thanks to my mother. And while the kids may be screwing up their faces in the wind, it captures the moment.
While I continue with my mini-break from the blog, I will let these photos speak for themselves. I simply couldn’t resist sharing our Boxing Day walk; our smiles were as wide as the sky.

I love this Sara, we did much the same in the middle of Christmas Day and thank goodness we did because on Boxing Day it rained all day and turned cold. I love the family photo, so natural with the kids all closing their eyes against the wind. So pleased you grabbed that fresh air window and joined me on Country Kids. Back to the blogging break now and more family fun!

We braved the beach today rather than yesterday and it was lovely to mess around in the sand. Your beach looks lovely! I shouldve thought to take my little ones new remote control actually, now Ive seen your pics I’ll have to remember it next time.
