Alphabet Photography Project: J is for Jump

J is for Jump

I love this photo. The 5yo had not long turned two and he did everything at full speed, with such enthusiasm. Not much has changed!

I can’t take credit for this photo, my husband took it, but I knew that this was the image I wanted to use when J came round again in this project.

We were at the Museum of Flight, just outside Edinburgh. It was a beautiful, sunny June day (the 8yo was even in shorts!). We were there with friends for a special Robot Wars event, and it was a wonderful afternoon.

One of those days that stay with you.

I can still remember the 5yo jumping off this wall. I can remember the 8yo running around with his friend, and playing on the zip wire. I can remember going inside Concorde. I can remember watching the robots battle, and seeing a Dalek. I can remember the 5yo being scared by the giant moving robot that they had!

It might have been almost four years ago, but it could have been yesterday.

Ooh I haven’t come across this alphabet photography project before. I’ll have to go and have a look!
I love when little kids start to get brave enough to do things like jump off walls! Elsa is suddenly into climbing and she has no fear at all. I’m sure it won’t be long before she’s jumping off things too.

  3. Beautiful memories and definitely a lovely captured moment. Love the movement frozen in time, the determined face that could see the end goal of the effort being made. It’s so lovely when we remember wonderful moments like yesterday; they make our presents, that must lovely. Thanks for sharing. #MyCapturedMoment 11
