Beautiful boy, you are seven years old. Seven!
You are growing up so fast, and it is a privilege to watch you as you learn, question and wonder. You are endlessly curious and forever looking to the next thing; taking us all with you in a whirl of enthusiasm.
You are funny and sharp. You love to tell jokes and stories, although your tall tales have recently jumped to a whole new level. It’s a fine line between tales and fibs, but you’re learning…
You are so very clever. You amaze me. Your ability to work things out is incredible, from nothing other than your basic knowledge and whole heap of logic. You are determined and focused. If you have a plan, you will see it through. You don’t give up, and you will keep on trying until you get things right. It is inspiring.
You talk. A lot. This can get you into trouble. You need to practice listening over chatting!
You are easily distracted, but only because your mind works so fast, you are always three steps ahead of us. Just let us catch up, we’d like to come along for the ride!
You buzz with purpose and excitement, finding it hard to sit still. But, when you find something that grabs your attention, whether it’s the latest level of Minecraft or a Meccano model or a new book, your ability to concentrate is second to none. Keep looking for things that grab your attention, there are so many possibilities out there.
You make friends easily, you are kind and fun. Listening to you talk about your games and projects and plans makes me smile; you’re always full of ideas.
You are a wonderful brother. You bond with your brother over Minecraft and you play fabulous, imaginative games with your sister. I love to watch you all together. You are very lucky to have a big brother to look out for you and a little sister to look up to you. Always remember that they love you, very much.
And so do we, gorgeous boy. You bring such joy to us and make our lives so much brighter.
