Week 15
101: Favours: more Lego men chocolates for the 7yo’s birthday party bags.
102: Pink: my pink magnolia seems to have survived the snow…
103: Flash: forgot to take a photo, so a last minute shot… the effect of the flash is interesting!
104: Morning: a lovely start to the day :)
105: Three: taking our photos for this months Siblings post.
106: Waiting: on our way to New York to start our vacation week, we stopped in Connecticut for the night to break up the journey, the wee girl coloured while we waited for dinner to arrive.
107: Bright Lights: we spent the afternoon walking around New York, including Times Square, soaking in the atmosphere.

Week 16
108: Liberty: we took the Staten Island Ferry to get a closer look at the Statue of Liberty :)
109: Poorly: the 9yo was really sick :( so he and I took it easy, managing a short stroll through Central Park
110: View: as the 9yo and I had missed out on doing the Empire State Building with the others, we did it ourselves and the views were stunning!
111: Oops: we took it easy after getting back from NYC late Tuesday night, and I almost forgot to take a photo…
112: Bloom: my magnolia is now in full bloom :)
113: Crafts: all three were occupied by this activity for about an hour.
114: Books: I’ve actually finished one book and started another this vacation!

Project 366: a photo a day, every day, for a year.

Exactly, thankfully it was only 24h and it wasn’t the day we had to do the four hour drive back…!!

  1. Wow, just been talking to a friend about New York! I love it there and will go back one day! Great photo’s Sara. Hopefully the 9 yr old is fully recovered now! What a holiday to have :)

It is typical, isn’t it!! I love NY, and I’m so glad that the kids did too. Thank you x

  2. Those Lego chocolate men would go down a storm here with boys big and small! And New York looks so amazing, I reeeeeally want to go one day. We lost our minds a bit at Easter and thought we could do it with a 5 year old and baby. Luckily we found our marbles again quickly and opted for a short haul flight :D

Oh, you have to go some day – and our kids loved it too, so it’s a brilliant place to visit :)

  3. i would love to visit New York. well i would love to visit lots of America to be honest. Such a shame that your eldest was ill – i hope he is feeling much better now. the lego chocolates look awesome!!!! x

  4. Fabulous photos of New York! It’s amazing that you can drive there. Sorry to hear your biggest boy was poorly while you were away.
Love your little Lego men chocolates!
That Jane Green book is called Life Swap over here. I read it years ago.

New York was amazing, and it is great being able to drive there. I really like Jane Green’s books, not sure how I’d missed reading this one!

  5. Did you say Lego men chocolates?! We need some too, how do we make them? The magnolia and hyacinths look beautiful. And the embracing trio is just lovely. What a bummer to get sick on a holiday. When we lived in New Haven, CT, we used to visit New York quite often at the weekends. Then 9/11 happened, and I haven’t been back since.

The Lego men chocs were made using a silicon mold that we got in the Lego shop (I think!). I visited NY for the first time a couple of years ago, the 9/11 memorial is very powerful x

  6. what a shame at one of them taking ill on holiday, but glad you both managed to get up to see the views regardless.
The crafting looks like fun, and how amazing to get them to concentrate for an hour.

Yes, I was surprised that the three of them played with it for so long, but they kept taking turns and did loads of painting!
