Monday
Other than going to the wee girls swimming lesson, I am drawing a huge blank on what we did today…! Must have been a quiet day :)
Tuesday
I decided to head out for the morning with the wee girl and went to Starbucks for breakfast and then to the Mall to get some new shorts and T-shirts for the 6yo, who is growing out of everything at the moment!
Wednesday
Hubby needed the car today, so I had a lovely walk into town for the wee girls music class. I went in a bit early to go to the post office and have a look for new shoes for the wee girl – having first checked the UK to US size conversion, again, just to be sure! I managed to get her a gorgeous pair of shoes in one of the local baby shops (I like being able to support the businesses in town) – and even better – they were on sale :) And I just have to show you a photo of them…
Thursday
About half an hour after getting up the 4yo said he had a sore tummy. We didn’t think anything of it until one mouthful of breakfast resulted in gagging and running for the toilet. Thankfully he wasn’t sick, but he did go back to bed – and sleep for five hours! Luckily, as hubby was taking the car again, he was able to drop the 6yo at school. It was the 6yo’s school Spring Concert in the evening, so we all went along to that (the 4yo had recovered by that point…). The 6yo was one of two children in his year group to introduce his class songs! Very proud mummy! We blew bubbles, ate star biscuits and lit a candle in memory of a special little girl who should have celebrated her first birthday today.
Friday
The 4yo was home again today, but feeling much better. As a treat, we went out for juice and cake in the morning, and then did a little bit of food shopping. After we picked the 6yo up from school we went to the park for a while before heading home. I had planned a messy play activity for Thursday, but as the 4yo was ill, we did it today instead – pink and purple spaghetti play for Matilda Mae!
Saturday
Hubby takes the boys to their swimming lessons which means that I haven’t seen them in the pool for ages, so I went along to see them in action. Parents are allowed to stay for the first and last five minutes of the lesson! While we were in town I picked up a birthday present for the party that the wee girl and I were going to in the afternoon. Unfortunately the wee girl decided to take a short nap in the morning, instead of her usual hour and half after lunch, so we only made it to half of the birthday party before she had a meltdown!
Sunday
Morning off for me as usual – spent catching up on my blog! We then went out for lunch, fabulous Mexican food. Then we headed to Breakheart Reservation and had a lovely walk through the woods to the lake and beach.
Please hop on over to Real Housewife of Suffolk County to check out her blog, how to link up and see how hers, and others, weeks went!

Those shoes are SO cute!
Well done to your 6yo at the Spring Concert.
Ahhh them rescheduling naps really throws out your plans doesn’t it. I hope she enjoyed the party anyway xx
Aren’t they?! I love being able to buy girly clothes now, so much more fun than boys clothes :) We are ruled by ‘the nap’ aren’t we!
