A very poor month! I’ve actually only managed to finish one book, although I have three on the go – can’t seem to settle to one at the moment!
Book 15
Strange Fits of Passion – Anita Shreve
I have read a few of Anita Shreve’s books and have always enjoyed them. This one didn’t grip me straight away though, it was a slow burner. However, about half way through I realised that I was reading much more eagerly and that I had in fact been drawn in to this story of a woman trying, and ultimately failing, to run away from her life.
After finishing this book I went back to Maine by J. Courtney Sullivan and I am still enjoying it, but I just haven’t found the time to read it! This was partly due to one of the local moms arranging a book club gathering, so I started reading the book for that, Bringing up Bebe by Pamela Druckerman. I so nearly finished it in time! It’s been an interesting read and I will finish it this month! I also felt the need of a bit of light relief so started reading Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi – another YA, futuristic, read. It’s good so far :)
I need to just focus on one at a time though…! I am really behind now :)
I am linking up again with Julie over at Mama OWL for her 50 books challenge June round-up!

The fact that you even start reading a book is amazing to me!! I love reading but just never find the time, so don’t feel bad – you have your hands full so I think you’re doing pretty well! Going to check out some of these, have been meaning to find a good book to read – will most likely be of the pick it up, put it down variety spread over 6 months! x
Thanks! I love reading, and I always have a couple on the go that I’m trying to find a spare five minutes for :) There are just not very many spare five minutes!
