My week that was [26]

My week that was

The first full week of the summer holidays… I’m surviving so far!

Week 26: 24-30 June
My week that was 26

Shopping in the morning – 7yo returned a duplicate present and chose a replacement – more beyblades! Friend of the 7yo came over for the afternoon – wonderful distraction!
Library in the morning to sign the boys up for the summer ‘Dig into Reading’ program. Then straight to first day of soccer for the boys – successful classes for both! I sat my learners permit test in the afternoon… Believe me, there is a whole post in that one! Short story is… I passed!
Park in the morning. Torrential rain and thunder in the afternoon! Two friends and their toddlers came over for a play date – great fun :)
Back to soccer in the morning. Quick visit to park first. Rainy afternoon, so arty activities to pass the time.
More rain, confined to house again in morning. Messy Play activities saved the day! I went to a book club gathering in the afternoon, child free, bliss!
Wee girls music class in morning, last one for the summer :( Lunch out – great burgers! Afternoon spent in the garden.
School friends birthday party for the 7yo. I escaped for a quiet cuppa in a cafe in the afternoon :)

    1. Summer holidays, yay?! And the whole learners permit theory test thing, I would never have lived it down if I’d failed, having originally passed my test 22 years ago… Now I need to sit a blooming driving test, all for a US license!!
