It feels like forever since I published something on the blog.
It’s actually been less than two weeks, but it feels so much longer.
Perhaps I have become so used to writing every day, and publishing most days, that even a break of a few days would feel like a long time.
We have just spent two weeks with my sister in New Mexico.
My husband spent most of that two weeks in Mexico working.
The wee girl decided sleep was for wimps – clearly I am a wimp.
A week of 5am starts was followed by a week of ‘playtime’ between midnight and 3am.
During the day we spent time with the family. Enjoying trips to the park, museum, farmers market, Santa Fe and Bandelier.
In the evenings we chatted, ate my sisters wonderful home cooked food and drank wine (and the odd margarita!).
Even without the eye rolls when I checked twitter or commented on blogs, there really was little time – and if I’m honest – little inclination to write.
I was tired.
Now, I find myself with a head full of posts and no idea where to start.
I want to write! I really miss writing.
I guess I should simply start at the top of my list… I do like my lists :)
But, is that the right order, will it make sense, does it matter?!
Really – I just need to stop procrastinating and get started!
In the words of one of my favourite screenwriters/directors/authors:
Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever. MAKE.
Joss Whedon

Sounds like you’ve had a hectic couple of weeks. Don’t feel too bad about not writing, you clearly needed one less thing to do. Hope the sleep situation improves, it’s a killer! Love your quote btw x
Thank you x I really missed pulling together posts and photos, but my head was definitely not in the right place!
Starting to catch up a little now, and enjoying the process :) Sleep getting a bit better too, but the wee girl is definitely unsettled by all the travel… hopefully she’ll be back to her usual 12h soon!
It’s a great quote, isn’t it!
