The theme from Tara for The Gallery this week is Selfie.
Well, this is a first for me… I’m not generally a huge fan of photos of me! Much less ones taken at an awkward angle, by me! The perspective always looks wrong.
It’s a strange thing, the ‘selfie’, even the word sounds a little awkward. Which seems appropriate. I love taking photos. Turning the camera onto myself seems odd.
Last night I was getting ready to go out for dinner with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. I looked somewhat less disheveled than usual :)
No sticky hand prints. No snot trails. Hair brushed.
And then I thought, I’d actually quite like to see you lovely lot in the flesh, so to speak!
So, what the hell, here is my first selfie! I think the slightly bemused smile says it all really…
