Feeding the goats

A few weeks ago we went apple picking.

In addition to the fruit picking, the farm had a few animals that the children could feed.

At first the wee girl was happy just to look. She shied away if any of the chickens, goats or sheep came too close.

But, gradually she became braver, and with a little help from daddy (more to pull her hand away should a goat get over enthusiastic!) she fed the goats!

She was thrilled. She beamed from ear to ear when the goat ate the food. The tickles from the goat licking her hand resulted in a particularly loud giggle. She wanted to feed them ‘more, more’!

She really isn’t a baby anymore.

  1. Bless her cottons. We went to a farm the other week and my youngest wasn’t quite brave enough to feed the animals but her big brother was a complete star.

  2. What a brave girl! My daughter fed a goat for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it took a few tries but once she’d done it she was so proud of herself :-) Lovely post.

  3. What a brave little girl and a lovely moment to capture. Ethan also love the goats at the zoo, he finds them very funny.

Thanks for linking up with Small Steps Amazing Achievements :0)
