On Tuesday it was a beautiful winters day; clear blue skies, sunshine and no wind. Perfect for getting outside and having some fun in the snow.
The wee girl and I were at a friends for a play date and the kids were desperate to get outside. So, after spending fifteen minutes getting them kitted out in their snow gear (!) outside we went.
It took the wee girl approximately 22 seconds to remove her gloves…
Then we spent several minutes with her studying her snow covered feet. She wasn’t all that impressed at the snow coating her lovely pink boots, and in the end retreated to a patch where there was no snow and stamped!
Then it was time for her turn on the sledge (the first of several!). She loved this, and we must get one of these great toddler sledges :)
Meanwhile one of the other mums was making a snowman, with a little ‘help’ from the kids! The wee girl was intrigued.
It was a lovely morning, enjoying a brief respite from the freezing weather and enjoying some much needed sunshine.
I’m linking up with the wonderful Country Kids at Coombe Mill again this week. Click on the badge to see what everyone else has been up to and be inspired to get outside!

Bless her. Such cute expressions.
Thank you :)
I love seeing her enjoying her first taste of a proper winter
Thanks, she’s still slightly unsure… But she certainly enjoyed the sledge :)
Aww how wonderful Sara, she’s just adorable. I absolutely love the photo of her looking at her snowy boots! They’re all fabulous though – was so hoping we’d get some of the white stuff now POD can remember more. Spring will do nicely though if that’s coming :)
Thank you Charly :) The snow has been fun, but I for one am definitely ready for Spring!
Once again beautiful photos! I love wee girl peeking over at the snowman. And what is it about gloves?
I know! She will not keep them on… Although on the days when it’s been -15C she has admitted defeat and put them on, but not before her little hands are bright red!
Aww! She is adorable in her little snow outfit!! What lovely photos :)
Thank you x
Love her taking those gloves off so quickly – I bet you were delighted?! Lovely photos and lots of fun for Wee Girl x
Indeed… although, I held her hand a little later and it was toasty… I have no idea how!
I am a little bit jealous of all your lovely fun snow and would definitely trade you our rain! I can see by the photos that the wee girl must have had a great time on the sledge and playing in the snow. Thanks for linking up and sharing your outdoor fun with Country Kids.
Thanks Fiona, the snow is definitely letting the kids try new things :)
Lovely photos I love the snow but we don’t get enough of it. #Countrykids
Thank you x
I love seeing all the snowy pictures. Gorgeous snowman. My girls are so disappointed they didn’t get to go on their sleigh this year x
If I could have sent some of this snow over to the UK I would have :)
Some beautiful photos there, looks like you’ve been having lots of fun! Such a sweet little snowman too :-)
Thank you :)
Hi, what lovely photographs, nice you can enjoy the snow and not to cold for you. I had a little bit of snow this weekend but not as good as yours!
I’ve had a bit of a blog name change and look, i’m now WildFamilyFun.co.uk different look but same outdoor living! Would love for you to have a look and follow.
Thank you! It was a lovely morning. I will pop over to your new blog :)
I wish we would have had at least one day of snow here this winter, would love to see how little man dealt with it this year. These photos are fab and sledding looks like lots of fun x
Thank you :) I’d send you some snow if I could! We’ve had more than our share :)
