Word of the Week: Recovery

20140411-123625.jpg

After two weeks of us all feeling pretty rubbish, this week has been all about taking it easy; about recovery.

Something I have never been good at is allowing myself time to properly recover from illness. As a result, I tend to go from one cold to another; tiredness following me. And, when you have kids, it’s even harder! It’s tricky to get any time to just sit :)

But, this time, the kids needed time to recover too, so this has been a quiet week; resting and allowing ourselves to have a break. I have blogged less, slept more! The kids have finally enjoyed some warm (!) fresh air and have not had to rush anywhere.

It’s been good, and we’re all feeling much better as a result.

What sort of week have you had?

  1. Look after yourselves. You definitely do not want to catch something else straight after being unwell! It is nice to just relax and let your body recover. Mel

  2. That’s the trouble with being mum, we don’t take time out when we’re sick and then it takes us twice as long to get over it! Glad to hear you are all on the road to recovery, the warmer weather is fab isn’t it :-D

Indeed! Thank you, it’s nice to be feeling so much better, and the weather has definitely helped :)
