Siblings: June 2016

Wow, half way through June! The wee girl has already finished school for the year and the boys finish up for summer vacation next Monday. How did that happen?

I seem to say it’s flown by! every month, but time keeps speeding up. I need that pause button more than ever.

When I sat down to write my Me and Mine post for May I realized that, although it had been a really busy, fun month, I couldn’t quite put my finger on any of the specifics. The month had buzzed along, wonderfully, while we just got busy with life.

I feel much the same as I sit to write this post. What to say about the three? What moments to highlight?

The rush towards the end of term is always a bit chaotic. Parties, field trips, sports day, final projects.

It’s fun, but all a bit exhausting! For everyone.

I think we are all ready for summer vacation now. It’s time to chill out a bit; no rushing or deadlines. It will be good for all of us, and I hope it will see the three cement their friendships even more.

Last weekend we visited Santa’s Village in New Hampshire. We had a fantastic weekend, and the kids had a blast; enjoying the rides, trying lots of new things and even meeting Santa (yes, I know it’s June!). The boys were in their element, and very much a pair, encouraging each other and enjoying each new faster/higher/spinnier ride!

The wee girl was more reticent to join in than is usual for her, but she absolutely loved watching her brothers.

It was a lovely family weekend, with plenty of time for these siblings to enjoy time together. And, as always, it was a pleasure to watch them.

I’m looking forward to a summer full of opportunities for these three to have fun together. Whether it’s camping, a museum or the beach; it’s all about making chances for photos like this one.

  1. Lovely pictures of your brood Sara. They’re all starting to look so grown up! I love following blogs for a long time because you can really notice them blossom. I hope you have a wonderful summer enjoying life and less stress. x

  2. Santa’s village in June – brilliant! And possibly only in the US! Your trio look like they were having a blast, even in some very Old England-ish weather!
