Word of the Week: Anticipation

anticipation

So…after a fairly quiet start to the week, it all got a little bit exciting!

My husband decided that a trip to a New York was just the thing for me and my mum, so Friday morning will see us on a train from Boston to Penn Station in Manhattan.

Neither my mother or I have been to New York before and we are, to say the least, excited!

The Guggenheim, MoMa, The Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square… How much can we squeeze into two days :)

So, I will be a bit quiet on the blog over the next couple of days… I will be soaking up the sights and strolling down busy, exciting streets. I will be wandering, in awe, through fabulous art galleries. I will be visiting places I have seen so many times on TV; the sites of many a favourite movie moment.

I have wanted to visit New York for such a long time, and I can’t quite believe that it is just a train journey away. How exciting, the anticipation is most definitely mounting :)

How has your week been, what would your word of the week be?

  1. That is exciting and I’m sooo jealous!! I spent one day in NYC winter 1994/5 when I spent Christmas in up state New York with my friend’s family and it seems surreal now. So many things we didn’t have time to do (including Central Park, the famous stores and sadly, a trip up the World Trade Centre [I took a picture from the bottom looking up!] ) but I can say I’ve stood on thAt famous viewing platform at the top of the Empire State, been a passenger from Grand Central and eaten a Sabbretts hot dog from the famous street vendors. Have fun – I’m sure you will! X #wotw

  2. Fantastic! My husband and I spent a few days in New York many years ago now, and we loved it! Though yes, exhausting as you’ll want to squeeze everything in! Lovely to be going with your mum, too – have fun! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

  3. Have a lovely time, I am a little but jealous as New York is top of my list of places I would love to go. Have a wonderful time and please take lots of pictures :) x #WOTW
