Word of the Week: Relief

relief

After realising last week that I needed to take a step back and not get hung up on the detail of that elusive ‘perfect’ Christmas, I have felt a real sense of relief this week.

Despite all the lists, and there have been many; Santa lists, present lists, shopping lists, to-do lists, Christmas cards lists; I have focused on the must-dos and not allowed all the nice-to-haves to get on top of me.

Perhaps more importantly, I have removed unnecessary (or particularly stress inducing) tasks completely!

As a result, I am now feeling quite organised, and slightly more in control. I’m even beginning to feel quite festive; getting the tree decorated and having lots of fairly lights twinkling around the house has definitely helped get me into the Christmas spirit.

All the important stuff is now done and if I manage to tick anything else off my lists, that will be just be an added bonus at this stage :)

I’m looking forward to Christmas, and I hope you are too.

How has your week been? What would your word of the week be?

  1. Why do we always put so much pressure on ourselves? Well done for getting rid of a few items on your list of things to do. I ought to do the same!
