One of my favourite galleries is the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, it is one of my happy places. And, this is one of my favourite exhibits; a must-see in the Contemporary Art wing. I have been known to spend quite some time mesmerised by it!
The piece is called ‘Endlessly Repeating Twentieth Century Modernism’ and is by the artist John McElheny.

What An interesting picture. Glass can be so beautiful
Thank you, I love this display x
that is an AWESOME shot!
Thank you! I think the credit should really go to the artist though :)
Gosh, you’re right, it is mesmerising. I just stared at your photo for ages. x #alphabetphoto
It is, isn’t it? I can spend ages just watching the reflections x
I love glass too, and can imagine that I could loose a few hours there too if I had the chance.
It is just such a stunning piece of art x
I would live in there, I have such a thing for glass, a great G #alphabetphoto
It’s fabulous, isn’t it. Even better in the flesh x
Amazing, sounds like a lovely place to visit #alphabetphoto
It is, one of my very favourite galleries x
Same kind of appeal as a chandelier. The light and shape capturing the eye. A very beautiful photo. #AlphabetPhoto
Thank you Cheryl x
Beautiful shot Sara! Gosh also went down memory lane of when I lived in Boston and used to visit there – actually I lived in Cambridge (I was at Harvard).
I remember you saying that you’d lived in Cambridge. I love the MFA, don’t get there nearly often enough x
And I can see why. So pretty! #alphabetphoto
Thank you x
Lucas says – OOOHHHH Look at all that glass – awesome photo! I would NEVER be allowed in that museum by the Mother. She’d be having kittens if I walked past all that glass!! he he #alphabetphoto
It’s safely behind glass :) They have some cool events for kids actually, you’d love it!
Wow hun. This is amazing. The reflections in the glass is fab. Such a great photo. You could actually enlarge this and frame this – would make a great focal point in a room x #alphabetphoto
It is such a beautiful piece of art, I love it x
I’ve been lucky enough to visit the MFA in Boston a couple of times during recent years and it’s incredible. I have a photo of the same exhibit from the last time we went in 2012. I can also thoroughly recommend the Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem if you haven’t been. Thanks for sharing x
The MFA is fabulous. I loved the Peabody-Essex Museum too, although I had the kids with me so didn’t get as much time for a proper wander as I would have liked :)
That is an amazing photo, made even more special by the fact you didn’t capture your own reflection, how did you manage that??
Now that you mention it, I’m actually not sure! I took quite a few, and I’m not in any of the close up ones. But I am in the ones I took from further away. I guess it’s something to do with the internal mirrors in the box? Thank you!
This is an amazing and interesting photo. I love the reflections #imageoftheweek
Thank you Gemma x
Wow, that glass is hypnotising! :)
I love it!
