I find myself slightly surprised that it is May. This year is flying by at an alarming rate, and the children are growing before my eyes.
This past month saw us take a trip back home to the UK and Ireland. It was a wonderful visit, full of family and friends; fun and laughter.
The children adored spending time with their cousins in Ireland and seeing Great Granny in Scotland. The 8yo spent time with his best friend; and their bond is something really quite special to see. The three were able to simply play, without school and activities and classes getting in the way.
It was lovely to see them have fun. The difference a holiday makes was clear, as they enjoyed the freedom from the constraints of an ordinary day.
We played tourist in Dublin and Edinburgh; visited museums, a castle, gardens and parks. Watching the boys take their sister in hand, showing her things and making sure she has fun, is so special. In turn, she is happy as long as she is with them (and doing whatever they are doing!).
The developments in them as individuals and as a unit, pulling together and looking out for each other, made for a remarkably stress free travel experience for us adults too!
It all gives me hope for a fabulous summer holiday, which is rapidly approaching…
And, after another hilarious photo shoot for this months post, I think we’re going to have a lot of fun!

Oh how wonderful that the three of them work as a unit – and in turn make life easier for you – we’re some way off that with our three but there are hints of it happening, especially with the girls – and I hope it does make for a fantastic summer holiday!
It just keeps getting that little bit easier, although in other ways it gets harder, just to make up for it :)
These are great pictures, sounds like you’ve had an amazing time travelling and visiting family. Lovely. It’s great to go back and play tourist places that you almost took for granted when they were your own back yard. Love these three #siblings

Thank you Fiona, they do have their moments (this afternoon for example) but on the whole they love being together :)
