The Prompt: Gold

The Prompt 93: Gold

Like a brilliant sunrise
you shine with optimism
your smile so bright,
you are radiant
to me.

Like a flaming sunset
you burn with fierce and
incandescent charm,
you are electric
to me.

Like a shimmering star
you gleam with potential
your promise distinct,
you are hope
to me.

Like a glowing candle
you illuminate and chase
shadows away,
you are joy
to me.

Like a precious treasure
you colour our lives
with a lustrous hue,
you are gold
to me.

  1. How beautiful, and powerful, to read. I imagine this to be about someone (or several someones!) who are pretty special…what a lovely way to capture how much they mean to you.

  2. Nicole (The Brightness Of These Days)

A beautiful poem with a lovely upbeat rhythm. I really enjoy your poems.
